Esta guía va dirigida al personal sanitario que quiera complementar los conocimientos relacionados con la administración de medicamentos por vía parenteral. Se ha redactado con una orientación práctica con el propósito que sea de especial utilidad para el personal de enfermería que desarrolla su actividad en las unidades de hospitalización.

La información ha sido recopilada y revisada por farmacéuticos/as del Hospital Universitario Son Espases de Palma de Mallorca (España), que desde el año 1995 han publicado diversas ediciones impresas y en edición electrónica.

Respecto a la versión 1.0 de esta aplicación, la presente versión incluye como principales novedades información sobre la compatibilidad con nutrición parenteral y recomendaciones de protección del personal sanitario a tener en cuenta en la preparación y administración de medicamentos peligrosos.

Se puede acceder a la ficha de cada medicamento desde un índice alfabético, buscando tanto por principio activo como por nombre comercial. Además, permite configurar un listado de fármacos favoritos para facilitar el acceso a las fichas de más interés para cada profesional sanitario.

Cada ficha sigue el siguiente esquema básico:

– Presentaciones: nombre comercial, presentaciones y dosis.
– Reconstitución: instrucciones concretas para la preparación.
– Conservación/Estabilidad: instrucciones para la conservación.
– Administración: vías de administración admitidas, instrucciones específicas para cada vía, soluciones compatibles, compatibilidad con nutrición parenteral, protección del personal sanitario, observaciones.
– Referencias: fuentes específics desde las que se ha obtenido la información.
– Enlace a la ficha técnica del medicamento: para más información en aspectos importantes como indicaciones clínicas, posología recomendada y precauciones.
– Página de notas: el usuario puede tomar sus notas para cada ficha.

Las fuentes de información más importantes para la redacción de esta guía han sido los informes técnicos de los laboratorios fabricantes y la bibliografía y documentación especializada. En determinados casos se han aplicado los conocimientos basados en la experiencia profesional y en las formas de administración usuales en nuestro hospital.

Pensamos que la incorporación de la información contenida en esta app en la práctica clínica diaria facilita que la administración de medicamentos se realice con los mejores estándares de calidad y seguridad.

It has been written with a practical orientation with the purpose that it is of special utility for the nursing staff that develops its activity in the hospitalization units.

The information has been compiled and reviewed by pharmacists from the Son Espases University Hospital of Palma de Mallorca (Spain), who since 1995 have published several printed and electronic editions.

Regarding version 1.0 of this application, the present version includes as main novelties information on the compatibility with parenteral nutrition and recommendations for the protection of health personnel to take into account in the preparation and administration of dangerous medicines.

You can access the file of each medicine from an alphabetical index, searching for both active ingredient and commercial name. In addition, it allows you to configure a list of favorite drugs to facilitate access to the files of most interest for each health professional.

Each card follows the following basic scheme:

– Presentations: commercial name, presentations and dosage.
– Reconstitution: specific instructions for preparation.
– Conservation / Stability: instructions for conservation.
